Steve Aoki has long been associated with all aspects of the EDM scene. Club promotions, remixes, label head, producer, A&R… I could go on. His Dim Mak Records has released some of the biggest electro-house tracks over the last few years, and 2012 looks to be the year he becomes a household name.

The first thing to note is that this is an incredibly diverse album, ranging from trance and electro to dubstep and punk, and many fans may find this frustrating. For example, “Earthquakey People” is Über-poppy, with the chorus, courtesy of Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo, commanding us to “jump around, nothing they can do or say to bring us down”, or “Ladi Dadi“, featuring Wynter Gordon, which sounds a bit like a Dirty Talk dubstep remix, are both perfect radio-ready records. Early In 2011 Avicii released his masterpiece, Levels, since then, the track has spawned a plethora of remixes and mash-ups, most of which can be found here. Recently One in particular caught my attention, a beautifully done mash-up by Igor Drago with Avicii‘s Levels and Wynter Gordons Banger Till Death, appropriately named Levels Till Death. Igor Drago‘s Levels Till Death, brings in the extremely popular and well fit vocals in Till Death, and applies them in the euphoric House that Avicii has become so well known for.

Earlier this month, the preview for Fareoh’s piano based remix to Wynter Gordon’s track “Buy My Love” kept many waiting including myself. Chuckie’s remix was posted about a week ago but in my opinion has nothing on Fareoh’s remix. The release is finally here and the track is filled with many touching piano notes and synths in perfect harmony with Wynter Gordon’s incredible voice. The track reminds me a lot of Avicii’s style, after all, he did revolutionize piano based production, ENJOY!

After recently releasing his banging remix of “Ashes” by Eva, Chuckie has released his newest track, a remix to “Buy My Love” by Wynter Gordon. The 19-year-old Fareoh has been on top of his game lately: known for his remix to “Flashback” by Calvin Harris and for his notable single, “Ipren”, Fareoh has been coming out with feel-good progressive tracks that just make you want to smile. His newest remix to Wynter Gordon’s track “Buy My Love” is nothing less than excellent, and Wynter Gordon’s distinct voice surely adds to that. Featured in countless House music tracks such as Laidback Luke’s remix to “Dirty Talk”, her voice is known for its power and is unmatched- it makes this track that much better. GET EXCITED FOR THIS ONE! I am as pumped as a person could get..why you may ask? Because I am going to see Tiesto live this weekend and after hearing his latest remix to Katy Perry’s song “E.T” I can BARELY wait any longer! Tiesto’s drop is probably the most magical and euphoric drop of 2011. I have also included a few bonus tracks at the bottom, one edit which comes from a friend of mine Jared Berkey aka “Bizerkey”.
