Skrillex’s OWSLA label did it big with the release of Sub Focus’s Falling Down EP featuring vocals by Kenzie May. The four track remix EP features the original production along with Sub Focus’s remix (VIP) as well as remixes by xKore and Nick Thayer. If you’ve been following Dubstep’s poster boy Skrillex around you’ve heard the VIP remix drop in his sets and smash the stages. Many fans have been wondering what track this was and now we know the man responsible for such a dirty dubstep anthem. Originally, Falling Down was released under the RAM/Mercury label and was a free download. In this re-release we’re able to get our dose of grimey synths and wobble from xKore and a more progressive dubstep style from Nick Thayer. Not sure about all of you, but the vocals by … Read more

Porter Robinson – Language (Original Mix) (register & login to view link)
What happens when you throw together the best parts of an old-school Tiësto trance track with a progressive beauty from Alesso, then add the grinding drums and synths of Skrillex and Knife Party and haunting vocals that could easily be from a voice as touching as Ellie Goulding‘s?
Well, you get Language by Porter Robinson. He claims it is his “favourite song that I have written”. I agree. I also think it’s his best. The crowning moment in this young man’s ascent to the top of the American EDM market, Language majestically confirms everything we already suspected about 19 year old Chapel Hill, North Carolina native. Beautifully composed, Language meshes different styles and genres with ease: this could have been a brilliant dubstep, trance, or electro track on its own, had he wanted … Read more

I wanna do it like they’re doing it at the Wynn in Vegas. The music scene in Vegas is transforming nightlife in the so-called adult playground. Check out this exclusive article from our friends at Billboard.
Las Vegas hotel group Wynn has locked 34 electronic dance artists into exclusive residencies for 2012- some of them established live acts that usually play concert venues far larger than Wynn’s four day/nightclubs (Encore Beach Club, Surrender, Tryst and XS).
Deadmau5 and Skrillex at XS Nightclub Labor Day
While big acts like Tiësto and Deadmau5 were announced earlier this year, David Guetta, Skrillex, Diplo, and Swedish House Mafia’s Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello are new to this announcement, due out later today. A complete list is below.
The move makes Wynn one of the most powerful bookers of DJ talent in the U.S., let alone Las Vegas, and gives them … Read more

A major ‘kudos’ to Neil Strauss of Rolling Stone for keeping up with the mythical, yet often misunderstood, Skrillex. Check out the article which follows Sonny Moore and gives us a glimpse into who he really is. There’s a lot to say after reading this – leave comments below to discuss!
By Neil Strauss of Rolling Stone
“Want to go to a party at the drummer from Muse’s house?” Skrillex turns and asks.
“Sure, why not.”
Fifteen minutes later, the car is full and navigating through the Hollywood Hills. In the front seat is his tour manager, Road Hog, who’s never been in the hills before.
Ratatat’s “Loud Pipes” is blasting through the car. Goulding and Road Hog are celebrating the moment, singing “the … Read more
