What a night to get the Thanksgiving excitement booming!!! The crowd was ready to go before the doors even opened. The girls were primped and ready to party, and the guys were pumped up to get the bass dropping! Finally, the beast was unleashed and the crowd went rushing up the stairs. The dance floor was flooded and the dancing was already in effect. Alex English and DJ rekLES started things off and truly got the party primed.

Birdy Nam Nam followed with a bass blasting set. Those four owned the stage and the crowd loved it!

Suddenly the stage went dark and the crowd went nuts! … Bah! Bah! Bah from the darkness. Then an explosion of light flooded Webster Hall and who else, but Kill The Noise! The excitement was written all over his face; he couldn’t crack a smile if he tried. The night was too good. … Read more

LOS ANGELES–It’s here! Hard Events has released the stage lineup for their inaugural Hard Haunted Mansion: Day of the Dead, and like all Hard shows, it did not disappoint. We’ve known the acts for a while now (LIVE Justice set, Knife Party, Major Lazer, Diplo, Kill the Noise, Zeds Dead) but now we know how they’re dripping these heavyweight wobblers all over the stages of LA State Historic Park. As usual, the acts they anticipate will garner the larger crowds have the honor of gracing the Hard Stage; Jack Beats, Zeds Dead and a live (!) Justice set are can’t miss acts for me.

Meanwhile, Knife Party has the privilege of lending their name to the Earstorm stage, which features Foreign Beggars, Tommy Trashy, Kill the Noise, the Knife Party duo themselves and the rising trap star Baauer. To make the cheesiest word play … Read more

Something, Something, Awesome (EP) (register & login to view link)

One of the leading pioneers of the breakthrough genre Moombhaton has released his first EP, Something, Something, Awesome on Skrillex‘s already prolific label, OWSLA. Filled with bass heavy productions and crisp riffs, this is the perfect offering for all you dub-heads and banging-beat lovers. Including a collaboration with Kill The Noise, who also featured on Skrillex’s Bangarang EP, this is a strong offering, and something that anyone who loves the genre should go ahead and download.

Enjoy,

Bangarang EP – Skrillex (register & login to view link)

Part of what left me so bitterly disappointed with Skrillex’s remix of Levels (register & login to view link) was that, arguably being of the few artists to have a bigger year than Avicii, and with bags and bags of talent, he was the perfect choice to remix probably the most popular song of the year, and failed to deliver. He has done so on this Bangarang EP to damaging effect, with an eclectic blend of beautiful vocals and catchy hooks mashed with screeching bass-lines and beats so energetic you just want to mosh in you sitting room. The title track was a Read more
