Happy Thursday everybody, one more day till we can all happily fall into our weekend state. Today I decided to bring back a little bit of Kaskade love. I was churning through some old tracks and I came cross this little gem. When Ryan Raddon (a.k.a Kasakde) was trying to spread House music out of San Fransisco in the early 2000′s, he produced It’s You It’s Me. This track was his break through, it put House music on the map for just a second, but it planted the seed. The track itself is mellow, featuring some nice guitar synth’s and beautiful vocals. Listen to this on your way to work or class tomorrow, and it’ll be Friday night before you know it.
P.S. – Special thanks to Mr. Lorente

This year has been particularly kind to EDM fans in New York City with a slew of great performances and some in rather intimate venues. This Thursday (4/12), EDM fans will undoubtedly be flocking to Cielo located in New York City’s Meatpacking District where international deejay Deniz Koyu will headline the evening. Joining Deniz on Thursday is Tyler Sherritt who has strongly come on to the scene. Listed below is all the information to purchase tickets as well as a chance to win 2 FREE tickets. Tickets can also be purchased at the door, but don’t sleep on it!
Accustomed to packing massive clubs and outdoor events, Deniz Koyu will play for a sizably smaller crowd giving fans a chance to actually see who’s behind the decks. Separating itself from other clubs/venues, Cielo features a state of the art sound system delivered by British sound engineers Funktion-One.

Bummed out that you forgot to book that flight to Miami? Perhaps you’re stuck in the library all weekend working on the paper you were assigned the first week of the semester and still haven’t finished.
Fear not! We’ve been in talks with our friends at Google/YouTube who are capturing Ultra Music Festival and bringing it to you live, for free. It’s the least we can do for those who can’t make it.
Day 3 of Ultra Music Festival kicks off at 12:00 PM EST. Below is the official line up for Saturday.

Of all the DJ’s to infiltrate the music scene in New York City, DJ Steve Powers has found a way to distinguish himself from the rest. Steve holds a weekly residency at the ultra-exclusive restaurant/club Lavo in New York, Dusk in Atlantic City, and Board Room in Chicago. He has played with countless big names including LMFAO, Avicii, Kaskade, and Laidback Luke. The New Jersey born DJ is one of three official G-Shock DJ’s (register & login to view link). Coming off a recent performance with Deadmau5 on New Years Eve, I sat down and spoke with Steve Powers to hear about that and much more.
- What is your ideal deejaying set-up?
- For me, I’m a Pioneer guy so I keep it pretty simple. A Pioneer DJM-800 mixer, 3 Pioneer CDJ 2000’s, and a microphone.
- How has your sound or sets changed since you’ve started deejaying?

When I first heard of Kaskade, I was sitting in the back of a car that was blasting a compilation, one of the passengers had made in early 2007, I’ve been hooked ever since.
For those of you that don’t know Kaskade is my favorite artist, and His band Late Night Alumni, my second, clearly demonstrating, just how important and varied he is to the EDM community. Kaskade released not one but two killer albums in 2010 named, Dance.Love and Dynasty, and has been pumping out some of the best remixes and singles on the EDM circuit such as Eyes, and His remix to Skylar Grey‘s Invisible . But now I’m happy to present to you the news on kaskade fire and ice, a 20 track album Kaskade is releasing October 25th. It will include a Fire CD, that contains all… Read more

After launching his sixth solo album, “Dynasty”, in April of 2010, and creating countless hit singles in the past couple of years, Kaskade is renowned universally for his music and has a well deserved spot as a long-time veteran in the House music game. Most recently, he is known for his awesome rendition of Skrillex’s “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites”. Today, he comes out with the highly anticipated track, “Eyes”. The combination of Mindy Gledhill’s touching vocals and the moving drop creates a very emotionally powerful song that is actually touching! Enjoy it.
