MitiS has been one of my favorite producers I have been following for the past 2 months. His music really captures your emotions and takes you on a journey. MitiS was brought up as a Classical pianist in Pennsylvania, and has been making his way into the electronic music scene for the past two years and has been producing tracks from genres Dubstep to Electro.
Mitis says, “I just wanna share good music, have it be through performance or a small, simple social setting. Music is what I do, I wouldn’t change that for anything. Have it be a Chopin piece playing in a hall, or a dirty bass kickin’ the club’s ass, I’m down for either.”

He has been DJing since he was only 15 and is finally starting to get the recognition he deserves! In fact last night he opened for Wolfgang Gartner at Webster Hall in NYC! One of my favorite aspects of DJing is actually organizing, booking, and promoting parties. Of course I enjoy DJing these same parties but there’s something to be said about the behind-the-scenes aspect of nightlife.
I DJ around campus at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and as soon as I started holding residencies DJs from all over town were nice enough to introduce themselves while I was DJing. As new DJs came after me I was sure to extend the same courtesy. Before I knew it I had an amazing and supportive DJ family.
