This Wednesday August 29^th join the people behind Cosmic Opera in celebration of the launch of their management company Comic Concepts. The event will take place from 8-12 PM at Arena and is open to the public with RSVP (register & login to view link). There will be a free concert featuring Cosmic Opera production and performances by Cosmic Management’s artists Filo & Peri, George Garcia and David Dann.

In honor of the event Filo & Peri have composed a “Cosmic MiniMix” featuring some fresh new tracks.

Need a good way to wrap up your summer? How does a FREE concert courtesy of the Cosmic Opera team sound? Hosted at none other than the legendary Arena nightclub in New York City, the newly formed Cosmic Concepts team will be showcasing it’s management team’s artists. Guests will be privileged enough to hear sets from Filo & Peri, David Dann and George Garcia in the club’s intimate setting. The event will go from 8:00PM to midnight on Wednesday, August 29th. Before giving us Act 3 of Cosmic Opera, the creators have decided to throw down at Arena on Thursday, May 31st. The DJs on the bill include Dalton of 4AM; Matt Goldman; and friend of the blog, George Garcia.

Event organizers have chosen to make this event a philanthropic opportunity that will benefit the Haiti Empowerment Mission, a charity providing education, jobs,    and sustainability in Haiti.

With talented DJs on the bill, benefiting a charity, in an acclaimed nightclub this is sure to be a great night! In the meantime, we’ll keep our eyes open for who will be headlining Cosmic Opera’s Act 3

Cosmic Opera returned for Act 2 at Hammerstein ballroom this past Thursday (4/5) and Friday (4/6) featuring Zedd and Fedde Le Grand. The event had a new DJ lineup along with fresh scenery changes from Act 1. Being that ‘Act 2’ was brushed against holidays, it certainly affected the turnout. For partygoers, this made for an incredible opportunity to catch world-class deejays in close proximity.

The setting and theatrics were remarkably different than Act 1. The chandelier was apparently larger and hung lower, giving the room a bit less of a cavernous feel. The digital mapping from Act 1 seemed to be absent this time. To the left and right of the stage were catwalks where actors played out dramas and spit fire, literally. Embarking upon a new way to deliver an entertaining live DJ event, 25 year-old creator and founder of Cosmic Opera (register & login to view link), Justin Cohen, has been working diligently. Despite the nebulous storyline of the Act I, one thing was evince to those who attended: the DJ’s performances delivered. Good news for those reading this, there’s still a few tickets available (register & login to view link) for Act II, but act now if you plan to attend Thursday (4/5) or Friday’s (4/6) show.

Headlining “Act II: Imbroglio” is Fedde Le Grand, an artist as big as they come in the EDM scene. The long-awaited Cosmic Opera in New York City opened its curtains for Act 1 on both February 23^rd and 24^th. The setting was the Hammerstein Ballroom, which was adorned with a massive chandelier that was constructed for the event and the interior was laced in lit patterns thanks to 3D mapping. The show was orchestrated by Justin Cohen, the 25-year old creator and founder of Cosmic Opera.

Axwell of Swedish House Mafia was the main draw, headlining the act for both shows. The first performance on Thursday featured Deniz Koyu and No_ID, while Friday night’s show featured PeaceTreaty and Thomas Gold.
