Just yesterday I found this debut release on 710 Records, and it immediately put my Attention Deficit in order. You know you’re doing it right when the bass propogates through your speakers as both sound and pressure waves (hence, this whole production game actually IS rocket science). I’m particularly attached to Miss Hucci’s percussive arrangements & high-frequency ornamentation, both of which contribute greatly to the sophisticated & sexy end result. The DJs that perform are not necessarily mainstream, but are brilliant in their own right. Boiler Room has acquired some of the nastiest, dirtiest underground DJs out there today such as Modeselektor, Toddla T, Araabmuzik, RL Grime, and Shlohmo just to name a few.
