NEW YORK — SteveAngello can finally shed his armor. He no longer has to save the world with his sidekicks Axwell and SebastionIngrosso. The death of Swedish House Mafia represents a new life for Steve. The machine that SHM became chained Angello down to a place that lacked innovation and growth. It was finally time for the dark knight to rise and Electric Daisy Carnival NYC aka Gotham City would serve as the perfect platform…
After a minor delay the Circutground lights shined bright signaling the Dark Knight to rise behind the DJ booth. The next logical step would be Greyhound, right? Instead, Steve showed off what he has been doing in the bat cave dropping his latest track with Wayne Woods, I/O. The electro house track sounds different from the likes of SHM breathing fresh
Need an escape from the work week? How does techno queen Nicole Moudaber parlaying her music through Cielo’s award-winning sound system sound? As the talented marketers at Corona always say, ‘Find Your Beach.’ Well, I’ve found mine, and it comes in the form of dark, ominous, and oh-so entrancing techno in one of NYC’s premier clubs.
Nicole Moudaber released her debut artist album on Drumcode Recordings on May 6th, and has been on a tear through the international underground scene since. Preview ‘Believe’ below to get psyched for tonight’s extravanganza:
Dear Trance Family,
Well what can I say about scream tour? I danced all night, lost my voice, and was blown away by one of the most magical performances Ive ever witnessed. Markus Schulz is a trance legend to say the least. The way he is able to control his audience is unbelievable. The Scream tour was over the top in excellence. Upon arriving you could see a line going down the street of people waiting for what will certainly unfold to be a night to remember forever. The visual and audio experience were out of this world , the lights were perfectly executed and the stage set up certainly was created to blow your mind. Avalon is one of my favorite clubs in the world, perhaps even my favorite after the performances by all the DJs who played in Los Angeles this past weekend. I arrived early to catch … Read more
Straight from the conclusion of One Last Tour with Swedish House Mafia, Size Records and X Label boss, SteveAngello will be gracing Pacha NY’s turntables on Friday, May 17. Of course Steve will be playing EDC NY just hours earlier in the evening, but this will undoubtedly top that. You can expect a lot of exclusives and perhaps some tracks he wishes he could’ve thrown into the One Last Tour set.
A solo set from the Swede is hard to come by lately, as he has been working tirelessly to finish his studio album, “Wild Youth”. Apart from running Size Records, which features some of the world’s premiere producers and DJ’s, Steve also recently launched his new label, X, supporting new and youthful artists with invigorating sounds.
Last year, Steve’s after party at Pacha was recognized as one of the highlight sets after a whirlwind year in the … Read more

Did you miss your chance at going to Coachella? Couldn’t swing that airfare into your budget? East coasters may not have a festival in the desert (for obvious reasons), but we do have a festival, or shall I say a ‘ball’, that boasts a similarly eclectic lineup.
We’re just 50 days away from Governors Ball now and we can just taste what’s to come. You’ve likely heard the bangin’ artists who will rock the stages June 7-9 at New York City’s Randall’s Island, included the former mysterious headliner, Guns n’ Roses. From rock to hip-hop, to house music, you’ll find chart-topping names such as Kanye West, Kings of Leon, Nas, Icona Pop, and Pretty Lights. Another thing we like here is names that we may not have had the chance to catch in concert, but a festival setting will give a taste of acts such as Cut … Read more
This Friday, Estonia native Mord Fustang will be gracing Pacha with his presence, and FromDJs has a pair of VIP tickets to hand out to the person who posts the best EDM-related spoonerism. Don’t know what that means? The best example is Mord’s name. Just switch the first sound of the first word with the first sound of the second word. Be creative, be funny, leave it in the comment section. If you can’t think of anything clever, just tell us why we should pick you.
If you REALLY can’t think of anything, buy tickets here: Mord Fustang 4/12
Here’s a fun fact about Mord Fustang: 70% of his body is made up of video games. I’d like to be the first to call BS on this one, but once you’ve heard his music it’s quite evident that he’s not lying. In so many words, he’s managed to convert those … Read more
As we previously reported (here), EDC New York is slated to take place this year at Citi Field May 17th and 18th. And here comes the starting lineup!
That’s right, after a little backlash from a seeming let-down of some big names missing from the bill, EDC knocks one out of the park with an expanded lineup (see below). Luckily tickets are still available for sale by clicking HERE. Four our baller viewers, it seems they’ll likely make announcement on tables soon, as per the website.
Afrojack is back after spinning two sets at last year’s show. One of our favorite sets on the mainstage came from Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano who is back this year as well. Our good friends in spacesuits, the Manufactured Superstars will make their return (interview here).
Some names that will make one sad littler raver … Read more
