  • Artist Bio: After messing around with producing/song-writing/recording rhymes for the last 6 years, Jacob Kent transferred his immense passion for music to a new avenue and began DJing in the summer of 2010. Immediately making a name for himself amongst the NYC nightlife scene, JK locked down the Saturday night residency at Time Square’s Aspen Social and began spinning at many other noteworthy NYC hot-spots such as Hudson Terrace, La Pomme and Room Service. There are no boundaries to the genres of music that JK will incorporate into his mixes and his diverse passion for music ranges from electro-house to old school hip hop to classic rock. For Jacob, spinning is not about the glamor of being DJ or popping bottles in a club–it is about the ability to share music with others and connect with the crowd through his pure love of music. As he nears graduation from the University of Michigan, Jacob plans to incorporate his love of DJing and music into his future plans. In the spring of 2011, JK will be making his international debut when he flies out to Europe to spin some of the hottest clubs in both Florence and Barcelona.
