Just released on Sebastian Ingrosso’s REFUNE records, “Calling” is the long anticipated progressive collaboration of a true house mafioso- Sebastian Ingrosso, & a rising production prodigy coming out of Sweden- Alesso. While Ingrosso has been busy releasing tracks with Swedish House Mafia such as “Save The World”, “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall”, & SHM’s newest collaboration with Knife Party, Alesso has been having a tremendous year as well. The track doesn’t sound too complex, yet contains what Alesso delivers best- catchy synths that could only put you in a better mood than you already are. As the track progresses it develops a dutch feel to it as well with the electro dash’s to making it sound more power driven. This is probably one of the biggest releases of 2011 and will very be soon at the top of the charts, ENJOY!

In my opinion, John Dahlback’s recent delivery of remixes to “Invisible”, “Right There”, and an original masterpieces like, “You’re In My Heart”, all substantiate the fact that he is definitely a prominent name in the progressive house industry. His music generally has a beautiful signature John Dahlback sound to it that is bound to produce an emotional response from the listener- it’s that touching. The preview to his newest remix, “Big”, only reinforces my belief that he only has major success ahead of him and is soon to become a huge influential progressive icon. The combination of Connie Mitchells affecting vocals and the drop at 38 seconds will make you understand why. After years spent in the studio, the Canadian producer Adam K has released a progressive hit “Point Out Of A Curve” on his own record label “HOTBOX”. His previous releases in 2011 such as “Drift” along side Funkagenda & “Raining” with Kaskade really portrays the kind of respect he has gained from veterans as such, due to his hard work in the studio. To follow up those progressive gems, Adam K doesn’t let up with this one. The track begins out slowly with beautifully high pitched synths that keep speeding up into rubbling & INCREDIBLE drum sequences that give me chills while listening to. The progressiveness doesn’t end there, as Adam K inserts little touches of undertone sequences that really complete the track. ENJOY!

What can we say, this kid has EARNED his spot on our homepage as DJ of the Week. The dedication and drive he has is unlike any other we have ever seen.
What blew us away wasn’t simply his Facebook Fan Page (register & login to view link), Twitter Page (register & login to view link), YouTube (register & login to view link), MySpace (register & login to view link), Wix (register & login to view link), Website (register & login to view link), or even SoundCloud (register & login to view link)(which has a pretty decent following and some really good mixes as well).

The super feel good Avicii with the world renown world famous and always jaw dropping David Guetta came together to make this track. It has given me goosebumps. It’s not heavy, most Avicii tracks aren’t, but it sure packs a punch with its HEAVY melody and high pitch-ness. Avicii has only been adding deadly tracks to his name this year and David Guetta seems be moving towards his old electro-house roots. This track is definitely worth a good listen too, so GOOD!

Previewed on Pete Tong’s BBC 1 radio show, & even Armin van Buuren’s state of trance sessions, the long awaited ANTHEM “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall” has finally arrived to the blogosphere. After listening to the preview of the song Armin van Buuren’s words on his show were “I know that’s something I usually wouldn’t play on my show, but it’s just THAT good”. The Swedish House Mafia are clearly making a statement to the world, and it’s the MORE the BETTER. Individually they are each unique and incredibly talented, but when you put them together you get a track like this. A track that will probably take over the rest of 2011 and even 2012. When I found this release by Arty, I only had one track to base my feelings towards him on. As strong as a statement this is, “Around The World” might be one of my favorite songs of 2011. The young artist certainly put together an ANTHEM track on the last one that got festivals and parties “Around The WORLD” absorbing so much energy & letting it out from his hard clapping drums and motivational melodies. This time, Arty produced more of a feel good track, probably resembling a girl he definitely once or still does love- “Kate”. Here is another electro banger from the unstoppable duo Dada Life. This year the swedish duo have done lots of damage in the EDM world, infamous for having immense amounts of energy at their shows and putting on truly great performances. Releases such as “Unleash The Fucking Dada”, “Fight Club Is Closed”, & “White Noise Red Meat”, certainly put them ahead of the race in the electro-house genre. “Happy Violence”, is a mix of high pitched feel good melodies that break into their typical FATTTTTT bass lines, that have only been getting fatter since the release of their “Sausage Fattner”, ENJOY!
