Pretty much everyone who had access to BBC Radio 1 on Friday night was tuned in to the legendary Pete Tong‘s dance show, that was subject to an invasion of Swedes, namely the takeover by the superstars of the Swedish House Mafia. Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso have been quiet on the production front since Antidote, touring heavily and playing shows all across the globe. Well, all that was about to change. The Swedes previewed a gang of new tracks, including new records from Alesso, Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello, Third Party and the Swedish House Mafia themselves. The ID that opened their now legendary set at Madison Square Garden has finally been given a name: Greyhound.

Porter Robinson is a 19 year old music prodigy who has used his seemingly infinite talent to create energetic, bassy, and crazy electro-house bangers for the past year, catapulting him to a place where he was opening on a regular basis for Tiësto on his American college tour. He has had several releases on Skrillex’s label OWSLA, and at such a young age, looks to be set for big things. This Essential Mix live from Hull in the UK is definitely one of my favourites that the legend Pete Tong has aired: it’s got all of Robinson’s hits on, and some massive bootlegs and new remixes. Tiësto at CES 2012 XS Las Vegas – Live Set (register & login to view link)

As part of an initiative between Twitter, HP and Intel, to promote new products from each of them respectively, plus Tiësto’s new series “In The Booth“, premiering on YouTube on the 17th of January, Tijs became the first artist ever to be part of Twitter’s live streaming service. Although not a massive fan of him myself (lack of stage presence, unsurprising and unimaginative set IMO), I know he has a huge fanbase, so, just for you guys, here is the set he performed at XS in Vegas to enjoy.
