Pretty much everyone who had access to BBC Radio 1 on Friday night was tuned in to the legendary Pete Tong‘s dance show, that was subject to an invasion of Swedes, namely the takeover by the superstars of the Swedish House Mafia. Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso have been quiet on the production front since Antidote, touring heavily and playing shows all across the globe. Well, all that was about to change. The Swedes previewed a gang of new tracks, including new records from Alesso, Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello, Third Party and the Swedish House Mafia themselves. I have been playing both the original mix and the remix of this brilliant Nero track for a few weeks now. The original is really funky and rich in nice vocal layering and choppy, slapping bass lines. It is brilliant for gigs where big room house is not the order of the day, but alternative, bassy, party tunes are. Highly recommended.

The Funkagenda remix will leave you speechless if you play it from start to finish. Hey everyone! I’d like to start and apologize for not posting for so long! I’ve been working on some of my own stuff as well as some behind the scenes things for FromDJs4DJs and I haven’t had many chances to post. But today I came across this absolute GEM!!! Any Kaskade and Skylar Grey song is going to be automatically insane. But Feenixpawl’s remix just completely blew me away! I have followed with great interest both Adrian Lux and Lune‘s careers since the very beginning, and have been amazed by the quick progress they’ve made. Lune, for those of you that may not know, is the unique, beautifully haunting voice that became world famous for singing those now-eternal words, “We don’t sleep when the sun goes down, we don’t waste no precious time, all my friends in the loop, making up for teenage crime”. Of course most of you will instantly recognise these words from Adrian Lux’s break-through hit, Teenage Crime, that was remixed (or remoded) to massively damaging effect by Axwell and Henrik B. Arguably this years biggest EDM star already, Nicky Romero has been prolific in his output of consistently brilliant remixes, edits and remixes.
