Well. At some point it was guaranteed to happen: a big name DJ was going to get remixing duties on a Justin Bieber single. When I first saw it was the Dada boys doing the job, my first reaction: excitement. Wow, I thought to myself, those crazy Dada guys have a chance to do a huge remix for the most widely adored (by pre-pubescent girls) pop-star on the planet, who’s sound is so sweet it will give you tooth ache, and in turn achieve some pretty big things!
Everything associated with Justin Bieber racks up millions of views in days. He just recently broke another VEVO record with his latest video for Boyfriend (register & login to view link). What better opportunity to hit tens of millions of Bieber fans world-wide with a raging, searing electro cut from Dada Life, that would melt all their faces, and be an absolute coup in the music … Read more

Sandro Silva – Core (Original Mix)

You may know Sandro Silva from his earlier release of “Epic” with Quintino (see post). Holland’s rising superstar is known for his energetic sound and has had many notable releases under acclaimed labels over the years since he first began his electronic dance career in 2006. Core is an exciting electro house anthem featuring that distinct dirty dutch sound we’ve all grown accustomed to. It reminds us of the old-school progressive trance style from the “olden” days. Before it’s release, ‘Core’ was first dropped in Pacha nightclub in NYC during a set by the Bingo Players. … Read more

Born March 17, 1994 in Miami, Florida and
Music wasn’t something on my mind. It wasn’t until the age of 16 and experimenting with so many instruments like Guitar, Piano/Keyboard that I realized Electronic Dance Music was my “Thing”. Music in general became an everyday thing I held since I was about 5 but it took me so long to realize it was my TRUE PASSION. Now I seek to become some sort of music Producer and maybe own my own label one day. Who knows? We all have Hopes and Dreams and believe we can do anything in this world and that is my goal. I’m going to be persistent and perfectible on my journey and there’s no giving up. So don’t miss out on any of my events because when I perform I give it my all … Read more

Cedric Gervais – Molly (Original Mix) (register & login to view link)
Cedric Gervais must’ve known for quite some time the banger he had on his hands. A strong viral promo push at UMF and WMC 2012 gave the track tremendous buzz, leading to me listing it on my list of the 7 most highly anticipated tracks from the week. It was also featured on Pete Tong‘s BBC Radio 1 show as his Essential New Tune, and given a shout-out by Madonna whilst introducing Avicii’s set, all contributing to the hype for its release.
The track itself is a heavy affair, with marching snares and rolling bass-lines, and a computer voice asking if we’ve seen Molly. 80′s style synths lead into a climatic Pacha on Acid style drop. Not particularly complex or musically intricate, this song does the trick, however, and delivers a thump that the club … Read more
As you will have noticed, no matter where you are in the world, over the past week Miami has caught dancing fever. Here at FromDJs4DJs we’ve followed it every step of the way. We’ve brought you ALL the sets, ALL the events, and ALL the action. Now, in the first of a few similar posts in which we’ll take an in depth look at some of the music played, I’ve meticulously trawled the interwebz for the most talked about, blogged about, tweeted about and generally most highly anticipated songs to come out of MMW/WMC/UMF. These tracks are hot. I mean really hot. They are sure fire bets for anthems that will form the soundtrack of a typical EDM lover’s Summer. I’m not saying they’re all here, but this is my hand picked list, and these seem to have the biggest buzz of any unreleased tracks from the week. Enjoy, and … Read more

Foreign Affair (Instrumental “WMC” Mix) – Yolanda Be Cool (register & login to view link)
Yolanda Be Cool, AKA Australian’s Andrew Stanley and Johnson “Durango Slim” Peterson, have returned from a period of near-silence since their smash-hit We No Speak Americano took over the world two years ago. And my, have they returned in style. Foreign Affair, at this stage, is an instrumental track, and the band have hinted that a well known vocalist will be assisting on the track soon. But for now, they have released the instrumental track for free. Featuring their well known sound of playful house, vocal samples and jilty, jumpy melodies, Foreign Affair sets the tone perfectly for Miami Music Week and UMF, with a perfect salsa sample dropping into some very funky, summer-feeling EDM.
Enjoy!

I just came back from Buenos Aires, Argentina for spring break, and this song is the “Levels“, the “Calling“, the “Hello“, of Latin America. The 5 crazy nights of partying got so much more insane when the DJ dropped this beat. With its up tempo melody and lyrics, this song is probably one of the main reasons why I came back from this trip tired as hell, but amped as well. Let’s bring this song to the states guys!
