A DIFFERENT KIND OF VIBE …

Whats happening people, I hope you’ve all been enjoying the posts so far. I’ve tried so far to bring you something different to whats being heard in the States so most of my stuff has been from the UK.

My first post today is something that i’ve had on repeat for a few months now …its always a massive hit in the clubs coz it is dirty/grimey and rediculously catchy. Nick Douwma, better known by his stage name Sub Focus, is an English drum and Bass producer who has been in the game for quite a few years now, but recently his music has taken a turn with the rise of Dubstep, and fidget house. I don’t really know how to describe this track as its kind of a fusion of all those genres. But hes managed to take the best elements and stick them all together….anyway this is the result

Now, for something slightly different. The XX – A new indie/electronica group have emerged on the scene and are putting out some very experimental exciting pieces of music. Jamie XX – The synthesis and tech man of the group works on remixes on his own, and this remake of Florence and the Machines ‘You’ve got the Love’ is truely impressive. I personally prefer it to the original- Simple, Chilled out, and atmospheric. Not that any of us dabble in narcotics, but hyperthetically….This song serves a purpose.
