On the streets of New York City, you can learn to do anything, but what makes it so special are the people who join you for the ride. The city’s music and fashion industries are filled with some true characters. The sad fact is that most of them won’t take their passions into the professional world and make a difference in themselves or anyone around them.

 25 year old Jamieson Hill is defiantly making a difference in his and the lives of others. Before Jamieson became a professional DJ, he was the youngest man ever to be on Ford Models men’s fashion board and cultured himself working on three continents. All of this experience definitely flows into his work today. This hip, trendy DJ draws attention from the ladies and men. While in the DJ booth he looks stunning and commands the crowd. He was born to control the dance floor.

Jamieson Hill compares his musical selection to getting flowers from a secret admirer. That’s the feeling crowds get when he plays another familiar though unexpected track. He focuses mainly on EDM, but is known to go left, giving audiences his take on pop culture at the moment, regularly mashing up new with old and underground with mainstream. Some of the current artists flying around his Spotify are Avicii, Justice, Flux Pavilion, Skrillex and Bullwack.

Fresh from filming the only DJ reality show, BET’s “Master of the Mix” sponsored by Smirnoff, Jamieson Hill is drawing a lot of hip hop elements into his mixes. Most recently, he released a mash-up of New York City anthem “Empire State of Mind – Jay-Z” and Queen’s “We Will Rock You”. He says there are many more edits and mash-ups to come as well as more volumes of his mixtapes Deeply Rooted, Rock Pop-Hop and Pinball Rose. Always the eclectic, Hill is currently working on a bright gritty dub-step mix which will no doubt be a crowd-pleaser.
