So, I have just returned to cold England from a 3 week tour of Ibiza and Morocco, where I was doing some DJing and some relaxing, and a lot of partying!!! It was an awesome time, and I’ve got 5 tracks here that are the staple of many amazing nights out for me! They are what Coming Home (Dirty South Remix) was to UMF earlier this year. I’m sure there are more, but these are the ones that really stuck out for me!!! (read as: the ones I remember).

Acid Rocker (Original Mix) – Henrik B (register & login to view link)

The opposite of discreet, this song has a rocking bassline and rocking drums that sound absolutely MASSIVE! The title is perfect, because it really sounds like a rock/EDM cross-over. You might have also heard Avicii playing this one with We Are Your Friends by Justice vs Simian recently, and Henrik B is already a certified hit-maker, with records like Teenage Crime (Remix), Can’t Get Enough (Remix) and Now and Forever (Original Mix)! Don’t miss out!

This simple track has really been blowing up clubs in Ibiza recently. It hasn’t got much play by the bigger DJs, but BBC Radio 1 taste-maker Zane Lowe has given it some airtime recently, and rightly so! With a heavy and rhythmic piano intro, it quickly shifts into a staccato base-line led drop, with minimal instruments. The perfect song to transition from your “beginning of the night playlist”, into your real banger playlist!!! This will get people on the dancefloor!

Pass At Me - Timbaland & David Guetta feat. Pitbull (register & login to view link)

Whatever your position on Hip-Hop/Dance music crossovers, this song is absolutely HUGE, and absolutely 100% guaranteed to make you tap your foot and nod your head, at the very least. With an infectious Latin-American riff and chorus, this just-released song is already becoming a staple of pool-parties and DJ sets across Europe, this song is perfect for a crowd just warming up, with the right elements of Dance and Hip-Hop to get everyone in the mood! Incidentally, to my ears this is the first Guetta/US artist collaboration which isn’t completely led by the standard Dance-Pop radio friendly Guetta sound. Not really surprising when you consider how talented a producer Timbaland is.

Around The World (Radio Edit) – Arty (register & login to view link)

A lovely track from the Russian Trance prodigy Arty. Coming off his massive Zara track, which was a favourite amongst the ASOT crowd, this song has lovely melodic elements and a bouncy beat. Supported by the likes of Swedish House Mafia for quite some time, it seems like this song is just reaching the ears and CDJs of many spinners. As a side, I have included the Radio Edit, instead of the Original Mix, since in all my sets that I have included this song in, the Original is far too long at 8 minutes, and unlike most Radio Edits, this version has a 40 second intro, allowing DJs to beatmatch and bring it in like a normal record. Sending My Love (Original Mix) – Swanky Tunes & R3hab feat. Max C (register & login to view link)

I love this collaboration!!! It’s great when two well established outfits get together and make something unexpected! Lacking the melodic and euphoric piano of Swanky Tunes and the driving, beat-consuming synth leads that we have come to know as R3hab’s signature sound. Instead, this song offers an epic build up, with Chris Willis-esque vocals courtesy of the soulful voice of Max C, leading into a HEAVY drop with a massive drums and a grinding synth, much alike the one used by Zedd in his recent remix of SHM’s Save The World Tonight. This has been played loads in Ibiza towards the end of many sets, and the place has erupted!

U&I (Original Mix) – GTA feat. Zashanell (register & login to view link)

An absolutely banging tune by GTA featuring the vocal talent of Zashanell, the Miami duo are living up to their label boss Laidback Luke’s reputation of high-end releases with this record, featuring a thumping bass line, a soft and melodic piano break and incredibly slick vocals courtesy of Zashanell. This one has gone down so well at every set I played, and the LBL remix that was posted here last month is also a great Big Room banger! Check it out!
