Long Overdue

School

"These are a few of my favorite things"

Unfortunately I’m 16 (btw almost 17 in about a month… for everyone about to make a comment about my age). This brings up lots of problems like homework, tests, and quizzes. It’s funny how it’s all related to school though, well now you can see what my life revolves around. I’m trying to squeeze fromdjs into my daily schedule but between chemistry, pre-calculus, and American history it’s a lot harder than I would’ve imagined. Well without further delay, here’s my newest post. These songs are all songs that have Latin or African-ish influences, hope you enjoy!

Set Me Free (Avicii Remix)- Phonat (register & login to view link) Very electric, very cool sounding, very relaxed song in general. I must say I really enjoy the lyrics but for some reason I felt like this song belonged in this post, please don’t question it just listen and enjoy.

Listen to the Voice Inside (D.o.n.s. Remix)- Yves Larock & Steve Edwards (register & login to view link) Yves Larock reminds me of one of my favorite artists Bob Sinclar. Yves Larock is a Swiss DJ that is part of a French project Africanism All Stars which use African based artists and acts. Africanism All Star artists include Bob Sinclar, David Guetta, and Joachim Garraud.

Ocean Drive (Apache Vocal Mix)- Nicola Fasano vs. Pat-Rich (register & login to view link) I speak Spanish. This song isn’t in Spanish. So the best imitation I can do is a somewhat hum/ mumble. This song is VERY heavily influenced by Latin American and Flamenco vibes and

Back To The 80′s feat. George Llanes Jr. (Latin Version)- Mastiksoul (register & login to view link) With trumpets (I believe), some knock knock noise, whistles, and the repetition of the words “We’re going back to the 80′s” this is a pretty catch song.

Mambo Jambo (Original Mix)- Dario Nunez & Jose AM (register & login to view link) This song is a mixture of English and I have no F****ING clue! But “suck my jhack” simply a beautifully worded song, an easily listen. Nothing to funky, nothing too hard.

Zumbahe (Original Mix)- Dario Nunez, Hector Rodriguez (register & login to view link) It seems like a ritualistic song of some sort. I just wanna sway my head back and forth and fidget for 5:30. Another simple song with nothing to crazy, but the vocals are deep and a good job of sampling.

Beso En La Boca (DubMix)- Alvaro Guerra & Kilian Dominguez Ft.Maskinen (register & login to view link) English. Spanish. French. Portuguese maybe? It’s funny how the lyrics of a song can make it seem more makestic. This song is an example, I might just keep listening to it to find out what language it’s in.
